sugarparcel"So, nice weather we're having, isn't it?" Aiba broke the silence, struggling to pull a smile from the depths of the nervousness and awkwardness he was feeling.
Ohno started. He hesitated for a moment, considering whether he should trust him - a wind-deposit! - and decided it was safe. "I wouldn't know, sir. I don't see much outside of this elevator most days."
Aiba could have slapped himself. Of course, Ohno worked in the elevator, he wouldn't have time to go outside. Plus, the walls were as transparent as metal could be, which was not transparent at all. But something didn't add up.
"Wait, but... how are you so tanned?" Aiba blurted before he could stop himself.
"I'm not at liberty to say, sir." Ohno turned his attention back to the levers and busied himself. Undaunted, Aiba's curiosity pushed him to continue.
"Was it from a previous job?"
"You ask too many questions, sir." The impertinent reply startled Aiba and he momentarily stood there with his mouth gaping, while the elevator slowly glided to a halt. A tiny bell chimed.
"We have reached the penthouse, sir. You will find Ninomiya-sama at the end of the corridor." Ohno bowed politely and held the door open.
As Aiba left, he could have sworn he saw a smile on the elevator operator's lips. The doors closed behind him, and he looked up at the impressive wall-to-wall carpeting and the intricately carved door at the end of the corridor.
(he meets Nino, Nino briefs him, also about being a wind-deposit, and he leaves very muddled but also with a feeling deep inside that this could be what he was searching for his whole life. A place where he belonged.)
(Aiba is to set up an infirmary and a place to house his animals i guess lol)
(Ohno comes back up the lift) (and then there's a choice for what Aiba does next. 1. Sixth Floor (Lavender Angel) for food and Jun? 2. Fourth floor to meet Toma? 3. Fifth floor to meet Sho? 4. Let Ohno choose? (ohno brings him to basement) 5. Stay longer with Nino aka snoop?)
*he should eventually meet everyone anyway!
